Mission - to tell Lanesboro’s story by collecting, preserving, organizing and displaying our historical and genealogical artifacts.

The Lanesboro Historic Preservation Association has been operating the Lanesboro History Museum since 1976. Artifacts dating to before the town was incorporated  and up to present day reflect the pride that settlers, residents and visitors share in this beautiful area. There is something for everyone to enjoy in our three-story historic building located on the main street right next to the Root River Bike Trail.

Browse on your own to get a feel for the folks who have made this town what it is today.

Our museum is free, family friendly and air-conditioned.
