- These members are volunteers and serve a term of three years.

The Park Department is responsible for maintaining the park system, the Lanesboro Community Center Building, Depot Building (Chamber of Commerce),
Lanesboro Museum, Softball Field, and the Bass Pond Parking Lot, and for all of the grounds upkeep for our beautiful parks in the City.
The Park Department also manages and maintains the two city campgrounds — Sylvan Campground and River View Campground.

Trees
The City of Lanesboro will rebate property owners up to $75.00/per tree for appropriate trees(s) planted on boulevards. A limited number of rebates will be given each calendar year on a first come, first serve basis.
An applicant may apply for: A maximum of two trees per parcel per year, a maximum of two parcels per year.
