As 2024 will hold multiple elections, the City of Lanesboro is seeking individuals interested in serving as election judges. Interested individuals should contact Mitchell Walbridge, City Administrator, by email at MWalbridge@lanesboro-mn.gov or by calling 467-3722 by January 31, 2024. 

Don’t get stuck with unwanted utility bill late fees! Payments are due on the 25th. Past Due Notices with penalty late fees will be calculated and mailed on the 26th. Call or stop by the office to get your account set up for automatic payments.

2024 Animal Licenses have arrived and should be renewed at your earliest convenience. A $5 fee and proof of vaccination is required to register each animal. All Dogs and Cats within the City of Lanesboro must registered with the City Office annually.

The City of Lanesboro is enacting a snow emergency from 9pm Friday, January 12th through 3pm Saturday, January 13th. During a snow emergency no vehicles shall be parked on city streets. Parking is available at the Lanesboro Community Center Parking Lot or the Bass Pond Parking Lot during a snow emergency.

Construction timeline update MN DOT is planning to reconstruct Hwy 250 in Lanesboro from the Hwy 250 bridge over the Root River to Hwy 16. The Legion will be hosing a fish fry on Saturday January 13th from 5pm until sold out. The cost is $14.00 and carry outs are available. This is the annual cancer telethon event.

Utility bills will go out in the mail later this week and will include the new 2024 utility rates for both water and sewer. Additionally the past due penalty will be reinstated starting January 2024.
