Public Input is Shaping the City’s New Comprehensive Plan

Have ideas to share regarding housing or business development?
The City of Lanesboro last updated its Comprehensive Plan in 2019. While that was only 5 years ago, much changed in that time.  The city is in the process of updating its comprehensive plan, which included a public survey earlier this spring.  Top issues identified in the survey and discussions with city leaders include maintaining the roads, attracting and retaining businesses, and addressing housing.
To help the city develop strategies to address housing and economic development, we will be holding two focus group sessions the week of September 8.  If you are a resident, property manager, business leader, or developer in the city of Lanesboro and have great ideas to promote housing and businesses; please consider signing up to participate.
You can express your interest in volunteering by completing this short online form or signing up at city hall through September 4.

The meetings will be a one-hour virtual meeting.  Based on the number of volunteers, we will select participants and send out on appointment for the focus groups on September 5.
