The Lanesboro City Office will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024 for Veteran’s Day.

The Lanesboro City Council is seeking committed residents to fill open positions on several city boards and commissions. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community by contributing your time, skills, and ideas. The following positions are available in 2025: Interested individuals should obtain an application from the city website

The City of Lanesboro has been notified that a blasting will take place at the Anderson Quarry located near the city brush dump on County Road 21 today November 6th.

When:  Thurs., Nov. 7, 2024, from 6:00-7:30pm Where:  Sons of Norway Lodge, 200 Parkway Ave. S., Lanesboro, MN, 55949 What:  Bring a dish to share (& a recipe copy if desired) for this community potluck.  Lefse, rommegrot, milk, and coffee provided.  Coloring provided for the kids.  Free and open to the public.

A special Thank You goes out to Norby Tree Service for their help in lighting up Sylvan Park this winter. The donation of time, equipment and expertise in hanging lights was greatly appreciated!

Lanesboro Public Works and Lanesboro Public Utilities will be trimming trees throughout the month of November. The Park Board has canceled meetings from November 2024 through January 2025. The next regular park board meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 5pm.
