The City of Lanesboro would like to remind residents and visitors that the Filthy 50 gravel road cycling event
will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The event’s starting and finishing lines are located on Parkway Avenue North in downtown Lanesboro.
Businesses along Parkway Avenue North will remain open during the event.
The Filthy 50 route extends beyond Lanesboro’s city limits onto several township roads throughout Fillmore
County. Motorists should expect increased bicycle traffic along the event routes and are encouraged to use
caution and remain alert.
Street Closures
Three street closures will be in effect in connection with the event. Parking spaces within these closure areas
will also be unavailable during the times listed below. Please refer to the accompanying closure maps for
specific locations.
1. Parkway Avenue North: 100 Block of Parkway Avenue North, from Elmwood Street to Coffee Street
Saturday, October 10 | 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
2. Coffee Street West: From the intersection of Parkway Avenue North/Coffee Street West to the alley
behind Pedal Pushers Café
Saturday, October 10 | 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
3. Beacon Street West: From the intersection of Parkway Avenue North/Beacon Street West
Friday, October 9 10:00 p.m. – Saturday, October 10 10:00 p.m.

Parking
Visitors are encouraged to use the public parking lots located at:
-Lanesboro City Hall located on Parkway Avenue South
-The public parking area near the bass pond, accessible from Fillmore County Road 8
Please plan accordingly and allow additional time for parking and navigating downtown Lanesboro during the
event.
Safety on Our Roads
Safety is important to everyone involved in the Filthy 50. Cyclists, motorists, pedestrians, and other roadway
users are asked to remain vigilant throughout the event and to respect traffic and one another on all roadways.
The Filthy 50 event coordinators, law enforcement, city and county emergency services personnel, and the City
of Lanesboro appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping make the event a safe and enjoyable experience for
participants, residents, businesses, and visitors.
