At the April 4 city council meeting a new 5 year contract was awarded to LRS beginning May 1st, 2022. The attached introduction letter was mailed to all utility bill customers. The major changes that residents should note include:
Last Monday pickup will be April 25th leave containers out and Waste Management will collect them.
LRS will begin WEDNESDAY pick up on May 4th. **For alley service trash will be collected on the west or north side, and recycling service will be collected on the east or south side. This change will reduce the number of trips through the alley to help prevent wear and tear. **
To set up service with LRS please call 507-285-5550 or email rochestermn@lrsrecycles.com at your earliest convenience. The price for 65 gallon trash with either 65 or 95 gallon recycling is $64.64 per quarter. The price for 95 gallon trash with either 65 or 95 gallon recycling is $68.07 per quarter. Service set up prior to 4/21/22 will have containers delivered on Friday April 22nd.
There is a very short time line to make this transition and hopefully it will go as smooth as possible.
