Sylvan Park and Riverview Campgrounds

Sylvan and Riverview are OPEN for the 2024 camping season!

 

  • The Bath House and Dump Station are OPEN for the season. We are excited to show you the newly updated restrooms and showers!  Additional Showers and Restrooms available at the Lanesboro Community Center or Lanesboro Chamber of Commerce Building. 
  • Electric and water hook ups are  available.
 

Sylvan Campground located at 202 Parkway Ave S and Riverview Campground located just off of Pleasant St W behind the football field are OPEN  for the season.  

Sylvan Campground has 27 sites, and Riverview has 16 sites. All RV sites include electric and water hookups.  

There are also several tent sites available at each location. 

There is a Bath House in Sylvan Campground that is available to all campers, which includes coin operated showers. There is also a dump station available at this location. We ask that firewood is purchased locally and no fish be cleaned in the bathhouse. 

We do not take any reservations, and therefore are unable to determine availability.

All payments are to be made at the entrance to the campground, where there are instructions and a drop box, $40 per night for the RV sites, and $25 per night for a tent site. Credit cards may be used during regular office hours at the City Office a service charge is added for card use of 3% or minimum of $3.00.

Lanesboro City Campgrounds - Campfire

 There are campfire rings, however, we ask that all firewood be purchased here in Lanesboro, and not brought in.

Facilities:

  • There is a bathhouse located in Sylvan Park, which is open to all campers and includes coin-operated showers.

  • There is a dump station located behind the bathhouse.

  • Sylvan Campground is located in the Sylvan Park, just off of Parkway Ave South.

  • We do not accept reservations, it is all on a first-come basis. There is also no defined check-in or check-out time required.

  • Located at the entrance of the campground is a board with instructions and envelopes for payments, or you may stop in the City Office to pay with a credit card during business hours Monday through Friday 8-12 and 12:30pm-3pm

Campground: Do you take reservations?

No, we do not take reservations, it is on a first come basis.

Campground: Do you take credit cards?

At this time we do not accept credit cards.  There is a board at the entrance of each campground that shows the directions for payment – we accept personal checks and cash.

Campground: Is there a dump station?

Yes, the dump station is located behind the bathhouse in Sylvan Park.

Campground: Can firewood be brought into the park?

No, all firewood must be purchased here in Lanesboro.

Campground: Are there showers?

Yes, the showers are located in the bathhouse in Sylvan Park, as well as in the locker rooms in the community center – all are coin operated.

Campground: When do the Campgrounds close for the season?

We are ultimately dependent on the weather, however we generally try to keep the Campgrounds open through November.  If temperatures begin to near freezing, the water to the facilities will have to be shut off.  We will update our website as the season progresses.
