The Lanesboro Public Utilities staff are investigating a water service issue on the 700 block of Auburn Ave South. Residents in this area may experience impacts to water service as Lanesboro Public Utilities resolves the issue. Additional updates may be provided as the city office receives more information.

The Lanesboro Volunteer Fire Department is accepting applications to fill a volunteer firefighter vacancy on the department. Applications are available online, at Lanesboro City Hall located at 202 Parkway Avenue South, or by emailing City Administrator Mitchell Walbridge at mwalbridge@lanesboro-mn.gov. Applications are due no later than January 31, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. 

The EDA Meeting on January 2, 2025 has been canceled. The next EDA meeting will be held on February 6, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. in the council chambers.

The Lanesboro Public Utility Commission meeting scheduled for Monday, December 16th at 5:30 does not have a quorum of members available and will therefore need to be canceled.

The HPC meeting on December 9th has been canceled due to a lack of agenda topics. The next HPC meeting will be held on January 13, 2025. Board Member applications are still being accepted. If interested in serving on the HPC or another board, please fill out the application and return it before December 13th.

Property Tax Statements are in your mailbox today! The truth in taxation meeting for Lanesboro is during tonight’s city council meeting beginning at 6pm! Proposed tax statements reflect the preliminary tax levy. Final figures are dependent on the city’s final 2025 budget.
