Bluff Country Gathering May 15-18

The 2025 Bluff Country Gathering in Lanesboro, started in 1999, with two years off for Covid, is celebrating 25 years this May. This celebration of American traditional music and dance runs May 15-18 with two public events, a Friday night Concert on May 16 and a Saturday night Barn Dance on May 17, both held in the Lanesboro Community Center and starting at 8 PM. Master old time musicians brought in from Washington, Virginia, Alabama, California, Oregon and Illinois will teach workshops during the day on Friday and Saturday and then perform and provide dance music in the evenings.

This year’s masters include great fiddlers like Charlie Walden, Karen Celia Heil, Elliott Kennedy, Jimmy Triplett and Erynn Marshall, banjo players Molly Tenenbaum and Stone Francis, dance caller Tony Mates, guitarists Candra Francis and Carl Jones.

Tickets for the Concert and Barn Dance can be purchased at the door. For more information: www.boveeheil.com/bluff-country-gathering.htm
