The Upper Mississippi-Black-Root watershed is now elevated to the Drought Restrictive Response Phase. All water suppliers in this watershed are required by the Minnesota Statewide Drought Plan to implement water conservation measures. The City of Lanesboro is asking it’s residents to conserve as much water as possible.
Significant demand reduction is achievable by restricting non-essential outdoor water use, especially lawn irrigation, building power-washing, car washing and filling of swimming pools. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
